Freeway Café

A small diner called the Freeway Café caught our attention as we arrived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on a recent road trip.
This small diner has a classic feel to it, covered head to toe in local news ads and models of old cars.
The staff were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. They started us off right away with drinks and were quick to take our order. I stepped out of my comfort zone and got myself a stack of blueberry pancakes which came homemade and were absolutely delicious! The side of bacon was among the best I've ever tasted.
Tyler ordered the Royal Burger (shown below)
The Royal burger was a hamburger, topped with a fried egg and bacon. The onion rings on the side were to die for!
This diner is the kind of place you'll find your Tulsa regulars, we were the youngest couple in the place by a long shot (ha!) and everyone seemed to know each other.
I think we'd give this place another shot, next time we happen to be in Tulsa :) We liked the food and the staff and the overall look of the place, despite the size, it works well for what it is. Big ups, Freeway Café!
